Color option for texts is missing

Previously there was color option for texts on localguideconnect so that we were able to highlight our main contents of our posts. But I don't find such option on connect these days. Can this feature be backed?

Hi @BishowvijayaP,

It was also possible to change the police in connect 1. Could it be possible to have this option back?

Thanks in advance and see you around

Until this colour feature is restored you can use simple HTML to add the colour attributes to your text manually.

All you need to do is to click on the HTML tab and add something like the following :

<font color="#336699">light blue text</font>

As with most HTML tags you can nest this within other tags but always test it before posting the comment by clicking on the Rich Text tab

You can use any colour picker to provide you with the hexadecimal sequence for almost any shade of colour.

The standard textual colour attributes such as "red"and "blue" also work.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much @Julien44 and @aka_Rὁn. 🙂

Hi @BishowvijayaP!

You really like to add colour to your texts :))))

Now we have a  chance with the HTML as @aka_Rὁn has told us. Although it was easier before 😉

Thanks to both of you!!!

Some of the functionality that was removed from the editing interface can be restored by adding a little bit of basic HTML.

If you want to quote a particular part of a message in your response you can simply use copy and paste and then open up your comment in HTML mode and add it between the standard BLOCKQUOTE tags as follows :

<blockquote> quoted text </blockquote>

I usually add a tag to the original author just above the quote followed  by the the word "wrote " to make it clear who said what.

The loss of the colour option puzzled me since there are other widgets on the editing menu which seems to be far less useful such as STRIKETHROUGH and SPOILER ALERT

As you can see the authors of the featured articles - which are duplicated under so many of the Local Connect headings - make full use of multi-coloured text and so their editing function does not seem to have been as badly restricted as ours has been.

Hello @MahabubMunna,

There has been the same idea going about this, so I am merging it to this post Color option for texts is missing
