Change Connect back to previous layout and design. - Status changed to: Closed

Please change connect back to the old way. We used to be able to have conversations with people and it was so much easier to post something. I cannot stand this layout and I barely even want to log on anymore to look. I cannot find anything like the way that I used to. It is not user friendly to me anymore. Oh well, I'm only one person though.

@aka_Rὁn I'm going to repeat myself from this thread but for the benefit of all on this thread: we built the Idea Exchange (and shared why we did) in this post which describes how to best use that area. General questions about how to do something belong to the how-to area.  From what I gather from your posts across multiple threads if that you're not clear on the purpose of it which I can rectify by adjusting the post, but we are reviewing every idea imaginable and prioritizing sections. All ideas are being considered and logged, but it's imperative that all ideas appear in a single place (the Idea Exchange) for full consideration. I urge you to post separate ideas there as they come up. 

We welcome all posts, as long as they are constructive and in line with the Local Guides program rules, and urge anyone with ideas for improvement to post them here for consideration by the community. I personally think all of *my* ideas are the best, of course (well, not exactly but I'm adding humor to this situation) but I understand my ideas may not be best for everyone and that is the same approach all Local Guides should take when sharing their feedback, along with being considerate of others.

You can access the "Other category" from the landing page of the Idea Exchange (accessible via this direct link or in your lefthand menu) by scrolling down and clicking "see more" to see all ideas that do not fit into the other categories. It will bring you to this page where you can vote on "other" ideas. The same applies to all categories. To submit an idea, simply visit the top of the Idea Exchange (or any category area) to "share your idea" and select "Other" as your category. If you're not seeing that, it's an entirely new discussion and I urge you to report it separately. 

If you need further assistance, a member of our Google Moderators team will be happy to assist, but please, let's keep posts on the original topic of the post.

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback, however, we will not be reverting back to the older version of Connect. We made a number of changes to best benefit all Local Guides around the globe and many (if not all) changes were a result of the feedback we received from Local Guides.

I recommend creating separate ideas for each individual item that you'd like to see changed in Connect so we can consider and implement potential changes to help make Connect better for you and others who may be having challenges getting used to the new Connect.
