Allow a check in feature for Meetups so its possible to see who actually came to a Meetup

This would help to understand which LG are attending Meetups and make it easier to judge who is active for things like the Summit.

I agree this would be useful. I have been to a couple of Meet-ups where we had 15+ show interest and say they were going to attend, and only 2 (the Meet-up organizers) end up showing up. This could definately show the impacts of the current Meet Up system and provide room for improvement (it could also send users that RSVP but don't check in an e-mailed survey to find out why they were a no-show).

I agree with this idea @PaulPavlinovich. Maybe the host of a meet-up could confirm the participation of the attendees.

Yep definitely confirmed by the host @ValeriaA_ - I like to know how many people actually came to a Meetup and I'd also like to be able to add not yet Local Guides people.

For people who come regularly the comms obviously works, for people who come once but don't come back I'd like to know

  • did they not enjoy it?
  • do they have improvement suggestions?
  • are they not finding out about new ones?
