More icon in Maps will make it more attractive

Some map markers on Google Maps contain information about the type of place: they have a different color and contain an icon suggesting the category (knife and fork for restaurant, banknote/Dollar-sign/Euro-sign for banks, etc), but a lot of places have either the generic shop icon (shopping bag on blue background) or no dedicated icon at all (white dot on grey background).

My suggestion is to add more of them, as I find the ones that are already there quite helpful. Some suggestions:

• florist, garden centers, etc
• fitness studio, sports, etc
• DIY
• POIs related to real estate
• garage, car dealer, etc (weirdly enough car rental already has an icon of its own)
• hair salon
• stores selling clothes

Those could be something like

 I thought about it but then wondered wont Maps become too cluttred? E.g in a populous country like india, you can find all the avove mentioned in one small area itself. it would be distracting i feel.

Can we please get some more marker icons? Here are a few frequent ones I find in my town that could use an icon.

• Salons/Barbershops (A pair of scissors)
• Drycleaner/Laundromat (Coat hanger)
• Car mechanic/auto-repair (Wrench)
• Gyms (Dumbell)
• Real estate/Estate agent (House/key)
• Vet/Animal Hospital (Paw print)
• Nursing/retirement home
• Separate icons for staffed Hotels (Concierge bell) and unstaffed House/Room Rentals (just a bed)
• Sports facilities [Tennis courts, basket ball courts etc] (Either icons for each sport or one generic 'sport facility' icon

There are probably more but these are the main ones I come across that could easily have an icon.

It will be useful if google maps provide with a categorical symbol of a particular place. For example when a shopping mall is searched google maps displays a small shopping bag image next to the mall location which indicates that its a shopping mall and even a lay man can understand it, but when we search for hospitals,temples,railway stations respective icons/small indicative images are not displayed. For example i am searchig for a place and a railway station is near by that place, if the small train symbol is displayed next to railway station then the users can easily understand that there is railway station and it acts as a land mark. In the similar way they can display Plus sign for hospitals, train sign for railway stations,books sign for school,temple sign for temples etc,etc like this many signs are required and they make the user's task very easy. At the moment google is using some signs, all i am saying is that is not enough more sings can be prominently displayed for the ease of users.

There's only 3 different icons about the Location : heart shape ,flag and star.

I hope there got more icons(like triangle or flash shape) to be selected so that I can create a more beautiful map.

While searching some place the results screen shows list of possible places. Can it be possible that every result item will have a small picture icon so as to make it easier to locate exact place searched for.
