Add Instagram link to Local Guides home page

This is a suggestion or a notification to Googlers and this is so simple 🙂

Where it could be on Local Guides home page

I just checked home page of Local Guides project and noticed this missing part.

It would be good if Instagram account's link also being added to homepage. It will brings more Local Guides to follow the official Instagram account of Google Local Guides.

 We all use different types of social media and some use multiple types of social media. I've come to notice that there's no connection via instagram. It be great to expand the social media selection to please from all angles and aspects 🙂

Thank you for your idea! Can you please describe it with more details? Because if you didn't know this, there is already an instagram account for Local Guides. You can read more about it in the article See amazing Local Guide photos on our new Instagram!

Do you know you can follow the official "@googlelocalguides" Instagram account now?

What kind of connection you want from Instagram with Connect?  I can guess for a few possibilities here:

1.  Allow easy sharing of Connect Posts to Instagram

2.  In our Connect Profile, let us enter our Instagram Screen Name, so that people can reach us in Instagram easily.

What do you have in mind?

I wasn't not aware of the page on instagram and I will surely check them out and follow 🙂 @YK1001.....

Also in more detail to my post I was thinking more along the lines of being able to sign inot local guide wit your instagram account. Currently Facebook,Twitter,YouTube and Google plus are the only ones you can use. So I was thinking maybe adding more social media options :). Thank you guys for responding to my post as well!

This is something the team is working on updating for Connect and I've passed the homepage (https://maps.google.com/localguides/home) idea to our team.

@Amiran There is no need to tag me as these Google Moderators moderate Connect regularly, keeping an extra eye on this section. Voting is indeed important as it tells us what Local Guides would like to see and is the purpose of the Idea Exchange. Thanks.
