AED defibrillator

IMG_20180305_180201.jpg

AED defilbrator, mesto kjer se nahaja in je dosegljiv 24 ur. Opazil sem da na zemljevidih niso povsod označeni. Moral bi bit označen, da je dosegljiv 24 ur na dan. In fotografijo, da ga lažje poiščeš, ker šteje vsaka sekunda.

Great, I took the liberty of translating your post into English using Google Translate, I hope you do not mind .....

I join your request @JMcG, the place where I work has a defibrillator, but Google Maps does not have an option to indicate this option, for an emergency it would be good to know where there is one.

I also think it's a good suggestion from @DougieHough

You have to see if others think the same and in one of those things  as a security layer to Google Maps

greetings Farid

Here in Italy (and in other countries) we have the possibility to have free access to AED medical emergencies. These are located by law in every sports association and, thanks to donations or private contracts, in places located near pharmacies, cash withdrawal counters or other places easily accessible to anyone. In my city I tried several times, through the feedback of the Google Maps app, to request the possibility to be able to enter the exact location of these devices, but to date there isn't the possibility of their inclusion!

There are maps managed by third parties that contain all the locations of the AEDs, but these are external links and not all know. And when unfortunately someone really needs it, we all know that we need to act in the first 5 minutes of a heart attack to have the best chance of saving this life in danger, and therefore we can not afford to waste time. If a person can alert the emergency room by telephone (first thing to do) and another can recover an AED and make a first aid here is that the chances of survival of the person affected by a heart attack can increase significantly. I know that these devices are as valuable as they are useful and that their exact position must be confirmed without a shadow of doubt and error in a precise manner (and this is up to the Google employees) but I think that nowadays it is necessary to add them to the order to facilitate rescue in the best possible way.

Bye,

David

I agree with you.
I experienced various crises and I know the importance of the rapid reporting of emergency information.

Google should link us with GoodSam or the UK Resusitation Council and display the locations of all public access defibs, giving responders teh information needed to gain access in an emergency.

Would make such a difference and help save lives.

Hello @AndrewCu, Several other users have requersted this already, and it of course makes sense to add them to the map! I have now added a link to your Idea in a more general Idea I have submitted a while ago. If you like that one, you can of course also vote for it:

In Japan, medical foundations etc have acquired nationwide AED map.
This is handled by providing the AED installation information to the installer and installation manager.

The expiration date of the AED pad, updating of the expiration date of the battery, exchange, disposal etc. are reflected.

It's in a hurry, but it seems hard to deal with the risk that you can not use it.

Can we add ‘defibrillators’ as a ‘category’ to pull down menu on “Add a Place” option.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is frequently the first manifestation of heart disease and early defibrillation, using a public access defibrillator (PAD) by bystanders, can improve the chance of survival and recovery.

According to National Safety Council Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death among adults over the age of 40 – and it's a "healthcare crisis," affecting more than 300,000 people every year in USA.

At least 522 lives can be saved annually in the United States and Canada by the widespread placement of automated external defibrillators, the paddle-fitted, electrical devices used to shock and revive people whose hearts have suddenly stopped beating.

Even the fastest paramedics could take eight to 12 minutes to get to a patient after he or she collapses. In a busy place like Toronto Union Station it may take the same amount of time to locate an AED.

Quick access to an automatic external defibrillator, or AED, by an engaged bystander could increase the odds of survival from about 5% to 40% and higher.

Hello @RohithaF, excellent idea, and as a matter of fact, I use this exact example as one of the illustrations in a more general Idea I have posted here a while ago:

If you like it, you can of course also upvote that one (I have added a link to this post in it).
