How do I add a place to Google Maps?

A common question that gets asked here on Connect is: How do I add a place to the map? There are several different ways. I will describe some of the ways you can add a business or place to Google Maps here, but you can also check out the Google Maps Help Center for more information. 

How to add a place to Google Maps from your Android device:

• Add a place from the menu
  • Open the Google Maps app
  • Tap the Menu > Add a missing place.
• Search for an address
  • Open the Google Maps app
  • Search for an address.
  • At the bottom, tap the address.
  • Tap Add a missing place.
• Drop a pin 
  • Open the Google Maps app
  • Drop a pin (long press on the map) at the location of the place you want to add
  • At the bottom, tap on the card for the pin.
  • Tap Add a missing place.

How to add a place to Google Maps from your computer:

• Add a place from the menu
  • Open Google Maps.
  • Click the Menu> Add a missing place.

• Search for an address
  • Open Google Maps.
  • Search for an address.
  • Click Add a missing place.

How to add a place to Google Maps from your iOS device:

• Add a place from the menu
  • Open the Google Maps app

Not yet, but u can use google earth for 3D buildings

As of now, the only way is to "Send Feedback" to Google, only.

How to "Send Feedback" ?

In Google Map, Click the 3 Line Menu Bar on the Left, Top Corner.

Go down & click "Send Feedback"

Under that "Your Opinion about Maps" request the NEW CATEGORY along with a Screenshot (Facility is given)

Then Submit - This may take while to get a response

I have added a place in google map but the place does show in the map publicly. It shows only when the place is searched writing the exact name in the search box.
