Local Guides Connect Live 2018

Hi friends,

I'm Randika Amarasuriya, a Level 07 Local Guide from Sri Lanka.
Engineer by Profession.
However the passion of my life is travelling.

Google has helped me a lot when deciding where to travel, how to travel, how to find better places to stay and how to find great restaurants to dine.

This inspired me to become a local guide and help others to find the information they need by sharing the photos, videos and reviews.

It says 'Sharing is Caring'.

What would feel more rewarding as the feeling that you have helped millions of people to find exactly what they look for? It feels so great when seeing that some of my photos have passed 70,000+ view count while 600,000 + view count altogether.

I'm so exited to meet up the local guides all around the world at 'Local Guides Connect Live 2018' to share my experience with them, to learn from them as well as from google the innovative ways to extend our local guide activities. I hope this would improve ourselves to help people more with more effectiveness.

If we could connect the world by connecting hearts that would solve many global issues those we face today. Spreading 'Love' would bring an end to many wars the world suffer. I hope LG Connect Live 2018 would be a wonderful opportunity for all of us to walk towards that dream.

See you in San Francisco this October !

Re: Local Guides Connect Live 2018

Welcome to Local Guides @RandikaAmarasuriya there are lots of ways to contribute to Google Maps that help everyone around you
This thread is communicated in the Czech or Slovak language, tnx

The best ways to contribute and get points are
* Add new places
* Add meaningful quality photos to places
* Edit places to update them to correct information.
* Review and rate places you’ve experienced and tell us about them
* Add photos to places you visit

Never review places you have not personally visited or used.
Good luck in your journey as a Local Guide.

There are loads of great tips in this forum Getting Started for how to get the most out of Connect.

If you haven't already consider introducing yourself on this post
