I travel a lot, and having been to approximately 40 countries in the past several years made me rely heavily on Google Maps at almost every moment of my journey. I also use Foursquare lists to search for places, and I combine the ratings and expertise from both apps to help me make an informed decision about where to eat or what sightseeing I want to do when traveling to a new place. Sharing this knowledge and the results of my research is extremely gratifying.
Without Google Maps, I would be hopelessly lost in most of the locations I visit. Even more horrifying to think of is the possibility that I would not even end up in these far-off destinations if it weren’t for Google Maps, because i would be too terrified to even venture there in the first place. The mere existence of this program is so expansive and vastly helpful that it is hard to remember a world without such an incredible tool.
Most of all, I love reviewing fantastically unique places I am enthusiastic about, and giving details about the facets of their exploration that people may miss otherwise. Filling in missing gaps where detailed information is useful to a plethora of people is an exciting prospect, and very necessary so people can make judgments for themselves based on their needs. I know that while I’m traveling, I want as much information as possible about a place that I’m thinking of going.
I look forward to contributing even more in the future as I continue to explore our marvelous planet!
