Zha Jiang Mian

Zha Jiang Mian, the hand pulled noodles dish, cooked right in front of you,is a great feast for Canadian winter in newly opened Gol’s Lanzhou Noodle shop in Square One Mall, Mississauga, canada. This is a traditional dish of Lanzhou and is served with the salty and fragrant pork cube sauce and vegetables. Lanzhou is the capital city of northwest China’s Gansu province. The dish is old. It has been popular in China for more than 200 years. No wonder that authenticity is introduced by Gol’s Lanzhou founder Yuming Gao, whose family run noodles shops for generations in Lanzhou.

Square One is the second largest mall in Canada and the largest in Ontario, the most populous province.

The company claims each location of their chain restaurant is serving over 2,000 bowls of authentic Lanzhou Hand-pulled noodle to locals every day.

It is almost an opera to watch the chef rolling out, twisting, tossing, and pulling long strands of noodles through a window of the noodle shop. Noodles come in 8 different choices;starting fine thin Maoxi, Xi to thick Erkuan and Dakuan.

Hello @RohithaF ,

Thank you for sharing this location and these photos with us, the meal looks very delicious!

I love very much Asian food and places where the meal is cooked in front of the customer. In Sofia, we have a place called Wok to Walk and there, one can have a big choice of noodles and Asian sauces.

I would like to remind you that you can always leave your reviews about a place or a restaurant on Google Maps, for further information, please have a look at the following link.

Hi

@Ashlee_JP

There are both Korean and Japanese versions.

Koreans call thn Guksu (kuksu) while Japanese call tham Udon

This particular restaurant is of Chinese origin.

Bridge noodles, crossing the bridge, hand made noodles are some key search words to look for these places near where you live

Bon appetit

Thanks and regards

This post left me feel so hungry, @RohithaF . Did you enjoy eating the Zha Jiang Mian (炸酱面)?Which type of noodle do you prefer?

I see that you mentioned Lanzhou and this brought me back pleasant memories from my trip to there.

Here is a type of noodles that I tried in China with tofu, however I am not quite sure about the name of the tofu here. : )

By the way, I’ve noticed that your post has a Chinese language label. Please note that I’ve removed it as your post is written in English.

To learn more about those labels I recommend you to take a look at the following article How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
