Your Local Guides account was temporarily suspended 2 times

My Local Guides account has been suspended 2 times and reinstated 2 times now, still without any explanation as to why it was suspended. Is there a way to find out? Is this a system glitch? Or If there’s a post/photo/review/tag, etc that I need to delete or correct, I’m happy to do that, or if my account was hacked, I can update it.

This is very troubling why my account was randomly suspended 2 times. First time was before May 2019, then reinstated June 2, 2019. Then I noticed it was suspended again July 24, 2019, and I have barely even logged in or used it since the 1st suspension. So there’s nothing new I could have added that caused it to be suspended again. It was reinstated today, August 14, 2019.

Local Guides: “You’ve been removed from the program for violating our program rules or Maps contribution policy but we cannot give specific details on the investigation. We will look into your case again and will be in touch within 3 weeks after an investigation of your contributions. If you do not hear from us within this time period, we are not able to restore your account. For further information about the Local Guides program, please refer to our help center and program rules. 4) Click on the grey icon in the top right corner to log-in with your email address.

Mohon bantuannya akun Local Guide Saya Utama tidak bisa dibuka kembali.

Saya tidak tidak tahu kenapa disuspend, sedangkan saya tidak melakukan apa-apa.

Saya membuat akun ini hanya untuk melaporkan permasalahan, karena saya sendiri tidak bisa membuat laporan dengan menggunakan email pribadi saya.

Kalaupun bisa, sudah pasti saya menggunakan email pribadi saya untuk melaporkannya.

Saya sudah melaporkan via twitter dan facebook, akan tetapi belum ada tanggapan.

Dan kalau saya meremove akun ini, bagaimana saya bisa memantau perkembangan permasalahan ini?

My husband’s account has been suspended suddenly! We don’t know why? His account is clear he always been carfull to don’t do any thing wrong. Could you please check it quickly because he needs to submit the application.

Please remember that, who is banned, through the account, is the person that is managing it, as the account is not acting indipendently of him.

"If you think you may have been wrongfully removed from the program and your account hasn’t been reinstated for more than 10 days, don’t create a new account to post on Connect. (That’s against our program rules, too.)

Instead, mention @localguides on Twitter or write a comment on our Facebook page letting us know you’ve been banned. Whichever one you choose, be sure to provide us with your Google Maps profile URL so we can look into it. It can take up to three weeks to investigate banned accounts, so please be patient. Our team will reach out privately as soon as we have an update."

  • For your privacy, please edit your post, removing the contact informations in there. The team will not use this post to contact you.

I have a problem, my gmail account [REDACTED]. I have contributed a lot to google maps, esiting, adding places, adding missing info etc.

I was at level 10. But now I cant see my level, only mu contribution number 10000 is being shown. Why? Am i being closed out of google.local guide program? I want to continue and contribute as a google local guide. My account is suspended. plz help

@chadindiana ، That’s sad! How you can be suspended and you contributed a lot? Maybe it’s just a technical issue and Google Team will fix it.

I have almost the same problem but I didn’t get any notifications from Google.

I am getting just good emails from them.

I hope Google Team will fix the problem.

I am one of 140 people on facebook group suspended local guide.

This is my 4 time unsuspended.

If I make a mistake, why they (the googel admin) unsuspended me for 4 times?

Its they life so bored so they randomly suspend our account?

Hi @chadindiana ,

We use filters to comb through content and look for anything that shouldn’t be on the Map. This of course lead to accounts being suspended and unfortunately sometimes it can be by accident, which may have happened in your situation. We are really sorry for any inconvenience caused and we would like to thank you for your understanding.
