Hey all,
Sharing with you all my first road trip experience to Pawna Lake Camping
Pawna Lake is one of the popular lakes in Pune. There are two campsites available here; one which is near to Mumbai side and another near Pune side.
Bookings:
Pre-booking can be done via various sites. I had opted Thrillophilia site which gave discount of 400 Rupees per booking. Around 800 to 1200 Rupees is the price per person.
How to get there:
We had our car to reach the campsite. You can also take private transport. The road near the campsite is quite uneven, so our driving skills are put to test
Camping Duration:
Check in time : Around 4 pm. Try to reach as early so that you can get the tents near the lake side.
Check out time : Around 11 am. You can leave before that too as later as day gets hotter and traffic also increases.
What to carry along:
Card games like UNO and Spot It, Jackets/shrugs, waterbottles, powerbank, camera, Photo ID Proof.
Our journey started from Mumbai, with close friends meeting after long time, with lots of stories, songs and friendly teasing. En-route we had a stop at Patil Misal for satisfying our hunger and craving for Tandoori Misal Pav.
Also, we visited Prati Shirdi to take blessings of Lord Sai Baba. The temple is a replica of Shirdi. You get all peaceful vibes at this place.
Around 4 pm, after an adventurous road trip we reached Pawna Lake Camping site. The site offers parking for vehicles. We took our tents and freshen ourselves. They served us evening snacks and tea. We headed to view the campsite and watch the surreal sunset this place offered us.

This place offers surreal views of sunrises and sunsets alongwith the fresh air and positive vibes that make you forget all your worries and connect with nature very easily.

After clicking many pictures, we treated ourselves with wood-fired barbecues (Paneer and Chicken). All the while music being a constant companion (You donтАЩt need to carry your speakers as they already have it), we played cricket, badminton, card games too.
At night unlimited dinner was served according to our preference (Veg or Non-Veg; We have to mention at the time of booking). Later sitting around the campfire, discussing horror stories in the chilled night gave this trip an altogether different experience.
We slept late around 3 am in our respective tents and got up early to view the wonderful sunrise as such scenes are hardly a part of city life. After having the breakfast and chai we left with wonderful camping memories.
