The consul’s room is also reproduced based on materials from the British Archives.

This building has been preserved in a very beautiful condition because of previous repairs and other work.
Also, the building has retained its original atmosphere because of the good manners of the people who use the building.

There are many buildings like this in Shimonoseki and Moji on the other side of the river.
