You know that place that you always return to? Yes, that one you love, and that you think it’s awesome. Well, a lot of people will go through their lives without knowing it, if we don’t help.
I would know, because it almost happend to me! I was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil, and thought that I knew everywhere (ok, at least the best places) around town. I imagined that probably I could have skipped one or another “okay” places, but certainly not one of the best ones, right? Wrong! I was astonished the first time (a few days ago!) I got to know Museu da Vida (“The Museum of Life”) here, where I lived most of my life. An awesome place, with and amazing history, and a great place to bring my kids to, as well!
But how did I found out about this place? By checking the reviews of the amazing Google Guides! I was shocked by how much people like this place. My first thoughts were how can a museum be so well rated? Museums used to scream “BORING!” inside my head. Boy, was I wrong!
So finally I decided to check the place with my family. Worst case scenario we could go to another place nearby anyway, right? Well, in the end, we run out of time, and were all yearning for more! There was so much to know about this place, so much history! So much to do and play with my kids! And all around the amazing job of the Pastoral da Criança - an entity that began in a small city in my state, expanded itself to a lot of other countries in the world and I had no idea.
So, why should you care?
Well, just like me, there are a lot of people out there that may think that they know everyting there is to know about the places they live. And they may miss awesome experiences if noone gives them a heads up. So, please, even if you think that the place you love is already well know and famous, you can still help more people to get to know it.
Just by doing what you like. After all, you are here, aren’t you?
Thank you for your time, and please, keep up the good work. Oh, and should you come to Curitiba by any chance, please, don’t forget to visit Museu da vida!
