Most dangerous Hussani Suspension Bridge is located in the beautiful Hussani village of Gojal Valley . Gojal valley is about 400miles away from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The Hussani Bridge connects Hussaini village to Zarabad hamlet (small village).
The bridge is known as a dangerous bridge due to its incomplete nature. The massive gaps between the planks and the wild swing make the bridge dangerous. The precarious rope and wooden planks are not the perfect blend for daily travel but the inhabitants of the village have to cross it twice a day with huge amount of loads on their backs.
In the 1960s, has President Ayub Khan visited Zarabad for hunting purpose and directed the authorities to construct a suspension bridge which was finally completed in 1967-68. The bridge was damaged by the Hunza river, dammed due to disastrous Attabad landslide. The locals of Hussani constructed temporary bridges to make access to Zarabad.
Also as scary and dangerous it is, the bridge is a terrific sight over the blue scenic waters of hunza river.Tourists from all over the world travel to the bridge just to take a picture on it.
The bridge is not very difficult to cross but if you get scared then it can be very hard. That was an amazing experience for me because it is very adventurous.
