I’m Sushmitha from Mangaluru in India.
I like traveling solo. I’m a photography fanatic. I love to learn new things in life and a Web Designer by profession. I have few hobbies. Out of it, one will remain forever is Stamp, notes and coin collection of different countries.
We are lucky to have all the medium to make our day to day journey easy. Local Guide is one of it.
Now if you ask me how? Then I would like to share my experience.
I depend on Google quite often, Either in the office or while traveling or at home.
I got to know more about Google contribute in my first solo trip. I was relying on reviews. I totally avoid high music as I have the hearing problem. I was looking for a space that is good for solo, Hygiene and budget-friendly place to stay. Safe places to roam as well as to avoid and few other things in the city. I understood the importance.
The best part of the Google Local Guide is that we could review the different places. It doesn’t concentrate only on Restaurants or Hotel. I mean literally most of the places.
After my trip, I & my family once booked a room in Mangaluru in a location which is easy to locate, Nearby the bus boarding points. & most the people might prefer as it is convenient in every possible way.
But there were cons about that place. I didn’t want people to experience the same. I contributed my thoughts on Google Local Guide with the only intention to help people in some way. It’s not about the appreciation you receive by badge or likes. It’s the little things that bring you happiness by helping people. That’s where it all started. But those little motivations like an e-mail from Google after leveling up bought a smile on my face.
If given an opportunity to attend the LGsummit 2018, It is said that I will get to learn everything about Google Local Guide. It’s such an honour to meet different people from other countries, To know their experience. I then would like to Organize a meet up in my city and share the experience with them as well as a lot of people out there. Thank you!
