You know, one of my most pride of Vietnam is a diverse of local food, that is a principal reason why you can see a variety of my posts talking about food, especially Vietnam local food. I would like to introduce every single dish I have had a chance to experience to all of my friends around the world, I would be happy to do it every single day now.
Xôi - steamed sticky rice is a very traditional food that has lasted very long time ago when my country was still poor until today. It’s certain that versions of Xôi may vary through many generations from a package which is made of leaves with simple ingredients. There are two kinds of Xôi - one is savory (Xôi Mặn) and another one is sweet (Xôi Ngọt).
Above package of Xôi Mặn (savory steamed sticky rice) includes glutinous rice and other ingredients such as pâté, meat floss, fried onion, Vietnamese pork sausage, peanuts, spring onion with oil.

Nice post @UyenHuynh !! I love food so I’m biased towards food posts! Yummy indeed! Love the formatting that you’ve done. The photos are nice and big and that’s great because there’s a lot to see in the photo! One silly question… how do you pronounce the name? I struggle with the letter “X” and how it gets pronounced in different languages!!
Keep up the great work and looking forward to more post from you!
Congratulations ! to you too to be among the top 10 selected posts.
I am a foodie, and love such food served in Vietnam and Thailand. Your photos are of top quality . (which camera did you use ?) …It will be very interesting to try both types of xoi. Waiting for my day to visit your country which has been in my bucket list.
@Dinakar1 Thanks so much Actually, I just take those photos accidentally without any effects by photo app. I took it by my iPhone 8. Yup, hope that you would love to visit Vietnam in a near future that you may get surprised by our variety of food. ^^
You made me hungry @UyenHuynh I think I know what I might go and find for lunch tomorrow. There are a couple of Vietnamese food places near where I work.
