Thank you for being responsive in my last queries. I have another concern at this moment. Is there a solution in the photo that I accidentally posted in a wrong place? Human sight error. My apology.
Also, I’d like to ask, in closing an establishment, can there be a reason of “under renovation”? I had an experience wherein I closed a fast food restaurant because it was under renovation but when it opened again and I tried to add it again in the Google Map, it was not approved up to now.
I hope again for any helpful response for this issues.
Errors do happen. However, correcting those as soon as we realize that is most important.
You can always delete a photo wrongly posted at a place.
The following procedure works well on a desktop.
Open the place. Your review will be at the top.
Then, click the share symbol & select copy the link
Next, open that link in a new tab. Here you will find the photos placed one below the other & each one will have the three dots symbol. Click on that & select delete.
Nevertheless, you can always access the photos tab & select a photo for deletion. However, when the collection becomes large, scrolling that also becomes cumbersome.
At present, there is no option to recommend a place to be under renovation or temporarily closed.
Nevertheless, the owner of the place can always do so through GMB.
I suggest you request the owner to claim the place then take action to mark that as temporarily closed.
Alternatively, you can request the feature through the idea exchange.
Thank you for understanding my points well. Your answers are very helpful. I will work on it. But the under renovation issue is very challenging as few owners only here in our city are involved in Google Map. Even few people are involved in Local Guide. A lot of courage is needed to go further.
However, thank you so much again for your response, I’ll consider them
You may indeed proceed as @C_T kindly suggested (the reply would be accepted as Solution, as the details are exact for the inquiries), you may remove аn uploaded photo, should you think it would not be connected to the location. (kudos for making sure to keep the information on Google Maps correct!)
Regarding the second inquiry, please make sure to check for guidelines provided in the article Places you can’t add to the map, as for the moment by leaving feedback as you have mentioned would be sufficient from the user’s end. (Additionally you may also check the Idea Exchange post Option to mark as a temporarily closed, as it is also being discussed on the similar matter).
Thank you so much for your response. Yes, indeed. As a Local Guide, I made myself responsible for my mistakes and just as CT mentioned, mistakes sometimes cant be avoided but what I do with them is what really matters.
I have another thing encountered today. I was added by a group of Local Guides here in my country in the Facebook Messenger. I suggested to them to download this Local Guides Connect app on their smartphones so they will grow and learn many things in their being Local Guides. Unfortunately, as they did try to search it in their playstore, it is not available. Is there something wrong? Or is the app really no longer available? I hope there could be light on this matter so I could share it with them too
