@sonnyNg please help to resolve this issue. I write a post in local stories section but see at the top of screenshot there is a message in yellow strip that marked as spam.
Hello @Anshu3
Trust, you have gone through this post beforehand.
https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/Help-Desk/Why-was-my-Connect-post-marked-as-spam/ba-p/852014
Nevertheless, the following three activities are a sure cause to make post spam.
-
Multiple edits in a short duration after publish.
-
Plagiarism i.e. use of borrowed content.
-
Off-topic content and advertising
If you take care of these factors, your post will never be marked as spam.
Hi @Anshu3
I’ve just realised your post from spam quarantineit’s now visible publicly. Spam-filters are sensitive and running 24/7 and sometime also a legitimate post can be caught by the filter. As kindly @C_T noticed before, you can find more information about it in the postWhy was my Connect post marked as spam?
If you post was marked as spam, please don’t post duplicate post again.
Thank you!
@C_T Thanks Fot replying. I have made edit to the post multiple times in a very short duration as in between preview, edit and publish.
@JaneBurunina thank you for replying. Somehow my post is visible now publicly.
I just released your second post from spam quarantine. The post is merged with the first one, already released by @JaneBurunina . Our filter is working to protect the community and you from unwanted content, but sometimes it can be triggered by something and remove a legitimate post.
Writing a second post, once the first has been sent in quarantine, will not help, as you are repeating the same content that already triggered the filter
Moderators are patrolling the quarantine to release the good post so, if your post has been rejected, don’t post it again. Simply tag a moderator (check here and here).
For more information you can read: Why was my Connect post marked as spam?
@ErmesT Thanks for merging my post. Actually I just posted second time when first post got spammed. Will remember your recommendation provided by you.
Hi @Anshu3 ,
Thanks for letting us know! : ]
Much appreciated from @JaneBurunina and @ErmesT , as kindly do follow as instructed, should there happen to be a similar situation.
You may also check as @C_T kindly provided the points to avoid such inconveniences, as at times the Spam filter may indeed need a helping hand.
