Wouldn't be great if Google could tell the specific reason for rejecting reason?

A lot of my reviews (over a dozen) were rejected recently. Almost all of them were finally accepted after a repeal or simply resubmitting WITHOUT making any changes.

For example, the following is another review that I have just noticed its rejection. It is for Latvian War Museum:

“Great people and great staff. One can learn major events of Latvia history quickly by visiting this museum. It devotes an entire floor to the Battle for Ukraine. You see a collection of war items transported from Ukraine including a bullet-hole-filled truck right at the entrance.”

It includes a bunch of photos taken inside and outside the museum. I have just submitted a repeal.

Is there a way to see a list of all the rejected reviews? I do not getnotice of some rejections.

Hi @hz10

2 weeks ago I passed the museum in Riga. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I doubt Google Maps will ever share the exact reasons because that would help the spammers tremendously.

@MortenCopenhagen Isn’t Riga a beautiful place? At least Google could point to the specific violated item of the policy:

  • False or misleading accounts of the description or quality of a good or service.
  • Distorting or omitting facts to scam other users.
  • Distorting or omitting information that could have an undue impact on user decision making.
  • Content that is based on a conflict of interest.
  • Posting content that tricks users into revealing confidential information, downloading unwanted or malicious software, or subjects them to phishing or baiting.

Good and cheap food is also available in Latvia.

There are a lot more reasons for hiding reviews. So if revealed it would make it impossible to block the spammers.

@MortenCopenhagen there is not much logic in a system against spammer…

Every local guide gets in trouble. Why will they keep us in this misery.

In the end only spammers will be left trying.

People like u and me will get demotivated and quit.

1 of 10 reviews get online here.

But i love it that we can see directly that there is a issue now. This update is a little step in the good direction. But we really need help.

They should say what triggers the spamfilter in our reviews… cause its not spam.

Its a bug in the system.

I am here now 5 years since a few weeks  the problem is there since i started.

The problem are also fake places. But its the job of the local guide to filter away spam and fake places… = point for lvl

Or an event with badge.

They are dooing is completely wrong.
