The Wixárika Museum is an excellent exhibition space for clothing and other everyday objects that faithfully represent the lifestyle of this ancestral ethnic group. They are originally from the Sierra de Nayarit in western Mexico. In their religion they consider that first everything was darkness, then the sun and the world were born, then the gods created the Hichol nation. In a peculiar way, the story of the flood has points that coincide with those of other cultures: it was announced by God, a man built a boat, and after the flood he procreated with his wife the new inhabitants of the world. They worship natural entities such as fire, air, earth and water, whom they symbolically represent with the Eye of God. In their pilgrimage festivals they evoke the deities represented by the deer and the peyote. Peyote is a magical plant with healing properties. With their outstanding artistic talent, they design beautiful figures on bracelets, necklaces, among other things.
