World Oceans Day is an international day that takes place annually on the 8th of June. The concept was originally proposed in 1992 by Canada’s International Centre for Ocean Development and the Ocean Institute of Canada at the Earth Summit – UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I have never had the luck to see any ocean. I hope shortly I will. As today is a special day for the oceans, let’s each one of us take some time to consider how we can reduce the use of plastic, or upcycle plastic materials.
Why you till now not see. your country not available any ocean ??? @VasT . we are working on it but i think not much necessary to showcase in there. also, we are planning arrange meetup about renewable energy

@VasT I’m amazed to hear that you’ve never been to a sea. Please go soon to feel the feel sea breeze. Yes we must reduce usage of plastics and need to find out alternatives. Please share your invaluable opinions to protect ocean on my post as well. Thank you

@kasunaaa as for my country, we are surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, and I have been told that it is quite different than swimming in the ocean. I grew up next to the sea, but not the ocean.
Come to New Zealand - less than 2 hours drive and you can reach the Pacific ocean anywhere in the country with beautiful beach even featured in Taylor Swift music video. @VasT
I might do that @OliverKIWI ! Well, not now given the situation. I would like to go this part of the world. After seeing many documentaries about the native fauna I’ll be a bit careful.
