Wonders of Peru and the World

Hello Google Family :slightly_smiling_face:

This is my very first post ever in Connect! Let me tell you about my journey.

I started this rewarding experience of being a local guide about 6 months ago and I have really enjoyed every moment. I´ve been trying to manage my time better, and I think I am getting there somehow, thanks to my fast cellphone I think :slightly_smiling_face: That´s why you will hear from me quite often from now on.

Among the activities that I like to do most as a local guide is to take photos and make comments about small local businesses, especially tourist places. The reason is that I want all these businesses to improve and grow over time, and also help improve tourism in my country. For this reason every time I have the opportunity to travel to different regions of my country, the first thing I do is to look for local businesses to learn a little about their history, how things started, what kind of offering they have for the clients, and how they promote Peruvian culture to the tourists (locals nd foreigners).

Of course, I also like to do exactly the same in foreign countries, as long as there is an opportunity to do that.
I truly hope that in the coming months I will be able to improve my skills of photography and video, so that my material on google maps will help in a better way to anyone interested in finding attractive places in each city.

Here I am sharing a couple of pictures of my last visit to Cusco, Perú :slightly_smiling_face:

These pictures are from the following places:

  • Cusco City
  • Chincheros
  • Pisac

Also, I do have a Google Maps List of Cusco:

Take care guys!

You can always introduce yourself and get to know other Local Guides via our monthly topic

PS: I assume that this is your Connect Live 2019 application, and I will move it to the section Local Stories on Connect as it fits better there.

I posted this almost three months ago I think… (I have now over 40 posts as far as I remember) but I acknowledge this was my application post for Connect 2019…Sadly I did not make the cut but well, it is what it is  still very happy to contribute and share good posts about my country and other things.

Best wishes,
