I was always wondering that how and when my home place looks like the above mentioned screenshot of tokyo city instead of my below mentioned current city.
I am a local guide since 3 years, i am always contributing many places. I am at level 8, and google street view trusted photographer with over 600k view of my photopaths which is almost 120kms. The reason behind my contributions is that, my local city satellite visuals should be like foreign countries.
If anybody know about my specific issue then please raise your comment.

I agree that the resolution of satellite and arial photos is very low in India and some other countries.
I think this is because the authorities in India got very scared when there was a series of bommings in Mumbai and other places. So your security / politicians decided to prohibite Google from sharing high resolution images. This to possibly block such terrorists from having access to high res images while planing their attacks.
We may not agree on this, but I think you need to lobby nationally rather than asking Google to add better images.
