Wonderful Wat Sri Chum in Sukhothai Nationnal Historical Park, North Central Thailand

Sukhothai,

Was an Historical Kingdom of Thailand from 1238 AD to 1438 AD.

The site has been designated as a World Heritage National Park by the UNESCO

The much respected King Ram Kham Haeng among other

  • Expanded the Sukhothai kingdom
  • Adopted the Buddhist Theravada Branch as state religion
  • Created the foundation of the Thai script

One of my favorite site of the Sukhothai National Historical Park is the Wat Sri Chum. (Wat = Temple)

If possible, allowing a few days to fully visit the site and Museum(s) is better…
