Wonderful Caves in Lonavala,Maharashtra, India - Bhaja Caves

Bhaja Caves or Bhaje caves is a group of 22 rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC located in Pune district, near Lonavala, Maharashtra. The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja, on an important ancient trade route running from the Arabian Sea eastward into the Deccan Plateau. It is devoted for the Buddhist Community.

It is really a wonderful view from top of Caves. Bhaja Caves security is also really helpful so If you need any guidance they are always on their Toes to Help! It is a relaxing experience here.

Here in the main cave of the Bhaja. There is practice of throwing a coin in the box on top of the Stupa. If you have wish and a coin then you can try your luck. Very few people’s coin reaches the box though!

It is one of the best caves I every visited in Mumbai and Pune region of Maharashtra, India.
