Continuing our Women & Allied Series, today we’re excited to introduce Bere, a passionate Level 8 Local Guide from Mexico.

Bere has been making an impact by contributing to Google Maps, sharing her experiences, and supporting her community in meaningful ways. Her passion to share her culture and traditions on Maps and Connect is amazing ! She loves supporting local businesses ! Let’s get to know her!

:rocket: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your journey as a Local Guide?

[Bere]: I am a Mexican woman who likes to travel, take photographs of everything, hard-working and a coffee lover. During the pandemic I participated even more in the Local Guides program, my motivation was to help my community, many businesses were closing, people had to survive from home by starting small businesses, medical services were scarce and support centers had to be updated. Having a case of covid at home and not being able to go out inspired me to collaborate with my city. Today I continue to support local businesses that benefit the development of my community.

:light_bulb: What inspires you to be a Local Guide?

[Bere]: What inspires me is being able to help others.

:globe_showing_europe_africa: What’s your favorite feature of Google Maps?

[Bere]: The feature I like the most is locating places and updating them, as well as reviewing restaurants.

:speech_balloon: What message would you give to other Women Local Guides or anyone considering joining our Local Guides program ?

[Bere]: No matter where we are in the world, women will always participate in favor of a community with a better future!

Thank you for introducing us to another amazing female local guide, @Globe_trotter_Ish. The first time I met @Bere_Marichi was in Tokyo. And in no time she made us all feel so comfortable about her that I felt like I knew her forever. Knowing about her more through this post is even more inspiring.
