Witness a Stream Turn Into a Waterfall at Madhe Ghat Valley

Everyone has wanderlust.

We love visiting waterfalls or spend an evening by the riverside or at least near a small stream.

One such cool stream is near Madhe Ghat not very far from the city of Pune which we visited recently.

The way to the Madhe Ghat waterfall is picturesque.

We traveled by a 19-seater bus called Tempo Traveller and got down at a village called Kelad.

After walking for about 15 minutes in the lap of nature, we got the first glimpse of a tiny stream flowing along our way.

As we walked along the stream the tiny yellow flowers greeted us with a smile and invited to stop by and relax.

But we saw the water stream changing its form and becoming a bit wider and the gush of water was clearly felt.

In a short while, we reached the end of a cliff where the stream jumped gracefully out into a deep valley.

This is the point of interest where the tiny water stream turns into a gorgeous waterfall.

It is easy to walk around the valley and witness the waterfall not from very far off.

On the way are plenty of spots to stop by for photo-ops.

There is ample area around on the plateau to settle down with family and friends and enjoy some snacks or drinks.

Travel Tips

  1. The last leg of the road is under construction and could be a challenge to drive, especially since this is a hilly area.
  2. There is also a small restaurant where you can purchase food items and soft drinks.
  3. To travel from Pune, head towards Bengaluru on the express highway and exit at Nasrapur.

The Madhe ghat area is full of attractions on the way.

Thanks @Designer_Biswajit I am glad you liked it.

Looking at the two links in your signature, I am always amused at the unusually large number of bloggers and local guides from Bangladesh. What explains such a large online presence among your countrymen, according to you? It would be interesting to knowтАж

Hi @vijayparadkar

As replied to Ajit, IтАЩd suggest not to go during monsoon but only after it is over; November is also OK.

In the rainy season the access road is too bad.
