But I’m sure I didn’t want to let the opportunity to meet all of you pass me by. I wanted to grab the opportunity with all of my effort. Because it was my dream to be selected as a connect live attendee and to participate in such a big event. But unfortunately it hasn’t happened and I couldn’t manage my visa to attend this big event.
I was upset when I didn’t get selected at first time selection. Then I became quite hopeless and was preparing me to accept the truth. And when I got the mail that written “You’re in”, I was so happy that I couldn’t express in words.
But all my happiness has gone when I couldn’t manage my visa to participate the program. I missed the opportunity to meet with all of you. It was a big opportunity for me to learn a lot of things that I don’t know about maps & local guide connect, sharing knowledge & experience with you and making so many new friends like you.
Congratulations to you guys who are selected for the Connect Live 2019 and most importantly who can finally join the program and make this a big one. Hope you guys are passing a great time and celebrate the happiness to meet new local guides as well as old local guides from different countries.

But the important thing is not to lose hope and already the fact of having been selected and to be among the top 200 LocalGuides is certainly a boost to try again next year!
I know that here on Connect many other LocalGuides have seen themselves rejecting the VISA, try doing a search or maybe ask for some valid advice to deal in the best way next time!
Thank you so much @DepayanPaul They didn’t tell me the reason behind it. But in my point of view, may be it doesn’t match with my profession that’s why, as I’m a medical person.
