Hello Local Guides,
Today is the birthday of my ‘City of Joy’ or ‘Kolkata’ as you are all familiar with this name, more or less. So here I am sharing the vivid panorama image I took very casually, while experimenting the panorama section of my cell phone, in a wintry afternoon of last December from the top most floor of World View, Jadavpur University. Also, this was my first time I took any image in panorama format, and found it absolutely stunning as it looks in sunlight with a clear sky view. Here the picture is . .
I born and brought up in the southern part of the city, so it’s the place where I spent my childhood, teenage days and so on. This city means, a lot to me even just more than a place where I grew up. For all the Bengali’s here, we know this city is an emotion for us and I personally never ever think of leaving my city, and just move on to any other places whatever the extras I may get, it can never fulfill that level of satisfaction in our hearts, just for sure I think. The northern alleys, the tea stalls, the city’s heritages, Bengali culture, People, Ganges, Howrah Bridge, Ghats, Coffee House etc. all the beauty lies with the places, can define it in one word and that is just ‘love’. It’s the city where we celebrate ‘Durga Puja’ at Muhammad Ali Park, removing aside all the religion conflicts, since centuries. Our city knows how to welcome anyone from outside, believe me you won’t be disappointed if you’re visiting here for the first time, but you’ll be in love with and will eventually find out the fruition of the name ‘the city of joy’.
Happy 334 to you, Kolkata, many more to go !
