Wings in Monterrey
There is a very famous restaurante in Monterrey called Las Alitas in Monterrey which is a franchise that was born in this town and now has restaurants in around 17 states of Mexico. I was a big fan of it. However when the success came, it proved to be more difficult to maintain the bar at the level they set for themselves.
Since I was and still am a big wings and boneless fan, this was devastating to me. However I decided to find the next best thing, this is my research thus far:
- Ever Wings
This place has taken the ticket when it comes to wings. They have a mix of 5 sauces (please do not quote me on this i do not have the menu in front of me.), of which the Parmesan Garlic is easily my favorite. Also the price/value relationship is high since Monday to Thursday they have great specials.
The two main downsides of this site is
a) alcohol is not served here.
b) There is only one location of this restaurant right now, and it is a little ways away.

Spikes is a good mix of good and great. On the one hand they have a great taste, and the menu is somewhat inexpensive. However there are no specials and do not serve alcohol either. Spikes has been growing in popularity if you ever drive in Monterrey or being driven in Monterrey you start to notice some cars have the distinctive I<3Spikes decal, then you start paying attention and it becomes more apparent and they are everywhere. This place has to be the best buffalo sauce wings i have ever tried. I went here for a birthday outing on a coworkers Birthday, and by far the best classic buffalo sauced wings i have ever tried is here. They also have a great environment around since the music selection is on point, and even the side dishes where awesome. They have the option of grilling the wings if you are looking for a less greasy experience. The only downsides with this place are
a) the relationship between price and cost is not the best. This is a place for a special occasion
b) there are 3 locations in Monterrey and depending where you live, or are staying they might be too far away.

If this was an all around restaurant which also serves wings, this place would be a strong contender. But alas that is not what we are doing today. Chilis is a great fantastic restaurant. They wings are good, but the sauces are a little lacking. However it greatly makes up for this by having a great variety in all other plates it serves. This place is a great drinking restaurant and they also serve great wings. There beer selection is awesome. The wings are cook fantastically and the sauce is just the cherry on top .The two main downsides of this site is
a) The price/value relationship might not be there for you
b) The restaurant is aimed more to the college crew, this might be off putting for families or a work outing You can find more info: here - Buffalo Wild Wings
When i started writing reviews i promised i will try to keep it all positive. This is hard in this specific chain. Lets start with the good. They have great ambiance here. There are tablets that can be asked for to play black jack or poker whilst waiting for the food. There is also great promotions in the weekdays for the daily meal. Wings are ok, not to shabby. However in this restaurant and on it’s brother restaurants (Carls JR and IHop at least in Monterrey) i have had the worst customer experience i have had.
