Will my contributions automatically go to my original Gmail account if I delete my secondary one?

Hey there,

I have always used a secondary account that I added to do all of my contributions, not my gmail. I want to delete my secondary account but don’t want to lose all my points. Will those points automatically go to my original Gmail account if I delete my added one?

Hi @MattMorey

First of all, please remember that having two accounts is against the program rules

For this reason, no merging procedures are possible. You should close your second LG account ASAP, following this link: https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings

In addition to what @ErmesT , I’d like to say that you only can copy paste your reviews from one account to another… Even you can do it after leaving program too.

I didn’t mentioned it because the question was (interesting) only about point. What about if the contribution are related to the same places?

Thanks for the response. I’m curious why having two accounts is not allowed? Maybe we are talking about two different things? You can click the add account button and add many different accounts right on google. The second account was for work purposes for Google Drive. But I forgot to go back to my Gmail account when I contributed onto Google Maps. So now they are on the wrong account.

Yes I’ve seen that when I searched unfortunately. I just didn’t want to start all over again because of my points and level I’m at now and I somehow got almost 600,000 photo views. I’m assuming you can’t copy and paste points and photo views… :frowning:

There is a simple explanation about a single account on Local Guides, @MattMorey

As we are giving reviews and ratio to a business, with more Local Guides account we can potentially give multiple reviews and rate, and this can influence the average of the evaluation of the business.

You can of course have multiple Google account, but only One Local Guide account.

For the same reason, there isn’t the possibility to transfer/merge contributions between two accounts. I’m sorry
