As March 3rd being observed as Wildlife day, our Chennai Chapter Local Guides, ace member Arul Prakasam arranged/organized/host a meet up in Chennai Zoological Park. Since March 3rd was on a Tuesday, the weekly off for the local Zoo, a convenient date occuring prior to the wildlife day was tactically chosen by the Meet up host. Great reflections on Team work was displayed among all the meet up participants & host.
We hired a bicycle to tread around the large campus. The zoo houses multiple species of monkeys, birds, butterfly park, children park, a zoo shop. We could see Bengal tigers & white tigers. The zoo has three variants of peacock. The normal Indian one, white, & grey ones. The bird aviary is a beautiful one to the eyes.
The zoo also has lions, hyena, wildass, bisons, crocodiles, leopards & bears.
It was a great day to meet like minded people. It was my first local meet up that I could visit & participate. Lots of learning’s on the first step of a journey that will last a thousand miles.
On the account of observing the wildlife day on 3rd March, 2020, Chennai local guides ace contributor, Rtn Atul Prakasam, organized a meet up on 29th Feb, 2020. The wildlife day falling on Tuesday, a week off for the local zoo.
The event was well thought out and organized. The whole event was a classic display of team work, nurturing young minds, and participating with an intention to contribute to the society.
The location, Aringar Anna Zoological Park, Vanalur, Chennai houses multiple species of monkeys & birds. They also preserve the Bengal tigers, white tigers, Panthers, lions, crocodiles, butterflies, aquarium. We could spot additionally, bears, bird aviary, bisons, variations of bucks & deers.
This was my first meet up, a journey that started beautifully for a thousand more miles to pursue.
