Wildlife in Udawalawe National Park Sri Lanka

Udawalawe National Park: Udawalawe is known as the best place in Asia for visitors to observe about 400 elephants in the wild. This is the home of abandoned elephants :elephant: or orphans cared for and treated before being released back into the wild. In addition to elephants, you will have the opportunity to see endangered cats.

Beside elephants, you could admire a lot of kinds of birds :eagle: especially peacock :peacock: or wild buffalo :water_buffalo:

Walk, paddle, and even explore the sky: In addition to Jeeps, you can walk and carry a tracker or accompany the ranger to get close to the animals. There are trails of varying degrees of difficulty, and tours are available from morning till late night, so you can see many nightlife lurking in the daytime.
Another way to see wildlife in Sri Lanka is to go balloon. However, this activity will depend on the weather and most tours only operate from December to March.

The admission fee about 15$

Hi @Thai_Ngh ,

Thanks for the great photos that you took! This national park looks amazing and I am sure when people are visiting it, they are feeling in another world. It’s very nice that you had the opportunity to see so many animals in one place. I am curious about which animal did you impress the most? I think the funniest part is with the monkeys.

Hi @Thai_Ngh ,

Thanks for your reply!

I’ve never been so close to an elephant but I believe you that they are very friendly. Once, I’ve been on a Safari in Belgium and I was impressed a lot by the zebras there. :slightly_smiling_face:
