Why was I not chosen for guiding light? And why didn’t you choose any guys? I’m not sure what you all are up to over there or why you’re pretending to be a company who cares, but to question our intelligence in this way is insulting.

Our team was so inspired by the stories of Local Guides going above and beyond in the past year, especially during COVID-19, that we wanted to find a way to recognize a group of Local Guides who consistently went above and beyond this year.
While we wish we could honor each Local Guide, these Guiding Stars are the stories that kept coming up during our review of tens of thousands of Local Guides from all aspects of our program including but not limited to their contributions to Google Maps, activity in the program (Connect, meet-ups, etc.), Connect Live 2020 applications, community nomination form submissions, involvement in their local communities, and more. There were no specific activity or level requirements.
