What the benefits of using local guide connect . Do we get more points ? Any advice

The main benefit of using Local Guides Connect is a possibility to be in contact with other Local Guides, to share your photos, thoughts, reviews, your knowledge about your village or town, region or country. No, there are no LG points for LGC activities, but you can “earn” some honourable LGC badges for those activities - eg. for giving and receiving kudos, for best solutions.

As @JacekNK already says Connect is a place where you can meet and connect with other Local Guides, share your stories photos and experiences, give feedback and more.
Earning points is a result of contributing content to Google Maps. You can learn more about points, levels and rewards here.
Benefits are not specified for each and every level. The points that you earn leads to higher levels of the program, as well as to benefits like early access to Google features and special perks from partners. Please bear in mind that perks and benefits for the Local Guides program are always changing.

Google map is Volunteering Program run by Google, and Because We Are local guides so that we can able to use Connect…
On connect we Learn more to Communicate unknown person becomes friends, different types of people, languages, culture, Photography we explore with connect, and Much more…

You can learn new things every day just browsing connect, you can discover caves where you can actually bungee jumping , you can learn how local heroes are trying to make the area they live a better place or you just can discover that a light festival in Kobe started from Italian artisans.
Take care, you can get lost in Connect, don’t do this at work or when you are busy doing something really important
