I casually came to know about local guide and kept continuing. But when I realized the impact of google maps, I decided to contribute as it will help millions of people in my community. As a novice I used to give reviews and ratings only. Later I researched on it and came to know that there’s a lots of way to contribute. I came to know about listing just today and still learning. But I found that there’s a lot to develop with Google Maps and this can be best done by adding missing and newly developed places, I can edit with any incomplete and wrong information too. I know my locality best and so I can contribute here best.
First I went out of home and wandered around my surroundings to find out on which spots I can work on. I sorted out a few restaurants, few bank branches, few ATM Booths, two gyms etc. I found most of them are listed but I could make some update with edit. For example I edited and added the addresses with Rotana Dry Cleaners and Laundry, Indian spicy and Slim Point Gym etc.
Let’s see why edit is important: Edited by me gave the exact location how the local people call those address and how it can be found out easily from people’s references.
Later I added IFIC Bank Sher E Bangla Stadium Branch. This is a very recently opened branched just a month ago. So I knew definitely there’s an option.
It’s nice to mention that I edited this same address few months back to make correction for a shut down restaurant named Bent Fork.
Do you know the impact?
I have been featured on Google Maps for adding Slim Point Gym. Later I added Red Grapes, Orchid International School, Mridha Pharmacy and so many. Thus I added more than 9 paces on Google Maps. This adding will help both the business owner and it’s prospective clients to facilitate and expanding from each other.
