I have a couple of restaurants that I am working with and there is something interesting I have noticed. Did you know that every positive review on google for a restaurant brings about 4 new potential clients on average? Sounds crazy right? But this is something I was seeing in analytics using the database we have created for our restaurant owners. This is the good news…but
There is some bad news…
Every negative review on google for restaurants could potentially take off 13 new potential clients! So if you think about this it is almost 3 times more destructible for restaurant owners. Me as a creative person and number lover man I aim to create as many ways for my restaurant owners to improve their customer experience so that they will leave their place by writing positive reviews with 5 stars. We invest a lot of time on creating loyal programs for those who come back often, teach their staff on how they have to work with the clients and how they should ask for leaving a review at the end, we use all kind of promotions and offers for those who leave a review and etc…
I believe that in the near future there will be more and more restaurants that will thrive to improve all the aspects of their business in order to give the best service ever to their customers, and those who will ignore that, will not survive, unfortunately. So by just leaving a review altogether, we force restaurants to improve their customer service and who knows how unique and creative they will be later?
And most importantly what does the local guides program means to me? For me, it is the mission to discover new places with great food, atmosphere and great waiters and give them some sort of “shout-out” if they really deserve it, because I always keep saying in my head that my positive review will bring them on average 4 new potential customers so that is why I feel amazing about helping them in that way. I am so happy that I can make such a huge impact in my opinion, especially for little restaurants that are just starting out.
