Why my review do not appear on the public site?
Hi @henriquemps
Google has automatic filters that hide your reviews so only you can see them. There are a few reasons why your Google Maps reviews might not be showing publicly:
- Reviews can be rejected for violating Google’s review policies.
Prohibited and Restricted Content or Format-Specific Criteria
- Google can hide reviews for a variety of reasons, such as if other users report them or if they are about a place that has been closed.
- The content of the review: Does it contain offensive or off-topic content?
- The account that left the review: Does the Google account have any history of suspicious behaviour?
- The place itself: Has there been uncharacteristic activity, such as an abundance of reviews over a short period of time? Has it recently received attention in the news or on social media that would motivate people to leave fraudulent reviews?
In your case I think the last point is correct. Because this place has only and only 5-star reviews. 1200+ 5-star reviews??? That seems completely unfair.
“such as if other users report them”
I believe this is not the case, as my review was not even shown to anyone, it was hidden at the time I posted it.
“they are about a place that has been closed.”
The place is open, a hundred percent certain that.
" The content of the review: Does it contain offensive or off-topic content?"
No, it is about a dive school.
“The account that left the review: Does the Google account have any history of suspicious behaviour?”
I think not, I am a good user.
“The place itself: Has there been uncharacteristic activity, such as an abundance of reviews over a short period of time? Has it recently received attention in the news or on social media that would motivate people to leave fraudulent reviews?”
