Why my points reduced in Google Map?

Hi all friends,

I would like to know why my points decreased in Google Map.

I remember yesterday my points were up to 12,000 but today it shows only 11,400?

Can anyone share your experiences?

An apparent reason would be deleting of the Maps app history.
I suggest you check the setting of that.
To reach there, click the profile icon in the app, then select Settings → Maps History. If the selection is to delete the history automatically after every three or eighteen months, then along with that, the answers to the questions would also go off, causing a reduction in points.
To prevent recurrence of that happening, please select to retain the app history forever.

Further, the loss is irrecoverable.
However, you can make up for that by answering a fresh set of questions in the contribute section of the app.

I kept wondering because they keep decreasing. Many days ago, I also noticed this. I will check that.

@C_T hi dear, I checked the app. The delete option is off. Meaning I don’t set it to delete history at all.

However, I am finding that out of 431 reviews the program is considering only 52 to be of more than 200 character length.
Also, 27 reviews are now private.

I have a perception that the automated checks scan the reviews periodically. Then the program identifies objectionable content & marks some reviews as private. Along with that, the application also examines whether the reviews fulfill the internal criteria of 200 character count.
(Though, the private reviews still count for the points but create a botheration of a hanging sword).

To avoid that doubt, I always create reviews which are much more than two hundred characters stipulation. It may be so that after some LGs started stuffing the reviews with repetitive words, the criteria must have become stringent.

Can you verify whether there is any reduction in the count of helpful reviews?
