“Are you actually going to review this place?” - Now that’s an comment I hear a lot. Whenever I travel, go out or experience new things, I love to review it on Google, just like most of us do in this page. Coming from Finland, where the culture of reviewing and giving feedback is rather subtle and overly careful, I try to change the culture on my behalf and write accurate and honest reviews to help others.
As I travel, I love to use Google’s user review as my go-to review platform for recommendations for the best restaurant or the best museum, or just to see what it says about a certain place. I have traveled quite a bit and in many situations Google has helped me to find the most relaxing spa or to avoid a certain place. This is why I want to give back to the Google community and do my part! It may take a minute here and minute there to review the places I go to, but I always think of the person who is reading my review: that person could be me and my review can help that person to pick or to not to pick that restaurant for example.
My friends are often joking about me being a Google reviewer but I always want to prove them wrong and try to get them to review things too. It helps everyone if we just take a minute and tell our opinion about something. For example, yesterday in Dublin we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, and we found this AWESOME bar further away from the city center just by accident. It was the highlight of our day and that definitely made the trip. I’m going to review the place on Google and hope that someone else finds it too! ps. sorry for the pictures being flipped over!
