Why my Answers score (Points) frequently going down ???

Hi there,

Since long I have noticed that my points on Answers section frequently going down. Whenver, I answered the question at that time the points increase as usual but after 1-2 weeks the points strats falling. Still wandering the reasons !!! Please help.

Hi @HsRawal

If it is not the result of enabling auto-clear of Maps data, then it is the same issue as this one.

Please let us know if auto-clear is on or off then @SholaIB can decide whether to merge your post or not.

Please kindly confirm that your Auto Delete is set to off? That settings is found in the**maps history found :point_right:t3: here?**To access that page,check or change the settings, Auto- Delete(off)

  • Please go to your Google maps app
  • Click on your profile photo
  • A drop down list click settings.
  • Another drop down list please click on maps history
  • It brings you to page of maps activity. As seen below. Please make sure it’s (Off) if it was (On)

If your auto delete is off, then it seems to be a general issue now among local guides and we have escalated the issue. If it’s on please reset it to off and that will solve your problem.

All we can do now is keep giving as much details as you can give here in your post while the team work to resolve the bug. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks alot @Amiran and @SholaIB for your information. Yes, Auto delete was ON. Now reverted back to OFF. Hope it will work.

Hello @HsRawal ,

Just to check about reducing points, I can see that some of your photo contributions are not exactly following the rules, and this could also become one of the reasons to get your points down.

Please visit Community policy :**“Dark, blurry, and redundant photos will be removed.” As per this policy some of the contributions e.g. here, here, here, and here are not allowed as they are either very similar or redundant photos or the duplicate ones but surprisingly such photos are publicly visible.

Request you to check for more such redundancy in your contributions account and that will help you protect your account from future drop in points.
