WHY LOCAL GUIDING IS LIFE

Being a local guide is honesty at it’s best. It allows me to share my thoughts, experiences and adventures, with no agenda or obstacles. The cherry on top, is that others get to benefit from my experiences, when, if and how they choose. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me!

Being a local guide also opens my eyes to the details, and I love the details! How did a place make me feel, were the finishing touches worth remembering, was the service worth singing about, was the food life changing, and so it goes - heightened awareness, and sometimes, if you’re lucky, heightened appreciation for a sensational experience.

From dangerous to glamorous parts of Africa, I am always keen to share my findings. The more the merrier right? Last, but importantly, I meet the most incredible individuals. While taking photos or walking around a new place, I almost always find myself chatting to the owner, hearing their stories and connecting over a good laugh. I know that without intentional attention to the places I visit, these chats wouldn’t happen. My thinking, my dreams, my creativity, have all been challenged by the people I have met, and this is worth gold.
