I am Gobinthiran from Northern - Sri Lanka university student who wants to travel around the world and explore cultures, natural places, especially eat foods and make friends.

After the brutal civil war in Sri Lanka I got access to the internet since then I found people are using the internet to find hidden beauty of my country, there are millions of people visiting my country to get to know our culture, make friends here but the sad part is most people little afraid to visit my area (Northern part where the civil war has happened) I wanted to show the world that there is no problems and fear to visit my area now to see it’s beauty and our hospitality.
I found that we can post our photos on Google Maps I was a great opportunity to show the world, I am very passionate about designing and photography so I took photos around my area posted on Google Maps through Local guide platform.

When I see the statistics about my performance on Google Maps I feel good and It fills happiness inside my heart.
