When I started being a local guide?
I started my local guide journey during my trip to America about 2 years ago. Everything in America was new to me, the food, the tourist spots, the people and the culture. I felt excited but also a little nervous since it was my first time to America. Thanks to Google Map, I can referred to the reviews to decide where I should visit.
The most unforgettable experience was that I went into a high-ranking Peruvian restaurant and looked at the menu, though I can understood the Spanish word “pollo” and “arroz”, but I still can barely imagine what I was going to eat. Thanks to google map, I found some useful reviews and had a nice and delicious meal in that restaurant.
Why I love sharing comments on Google Map?
Since then, I started to write reviews on Google Map and became a heavy Google Map user. Wherever I go now, I would write down my comment and hope to help tourists or first-timers. I think Google Map reviews is kind of “sharing economy”, the more opinions we share, the more accurate the review will be, which will eventually become a positive cycle system. I am not only a giver on Google Map, I also enjoy being a receiver to use other local guides’ opinion to make my trip more smoothly.
What I love to share on Google Map?
I love to share simple opinion and no filter pictures to help others quickly get practical and useful information. I think the purpose of Google Map reviews is to help everyone get true consumer voices, not embellished or commercial ads.
