Hi peeps, I am Yama from Frankfurt am Main Germany.
Here are a few of many reasons why i love visiting America again and again.
1.The Real Californian King ( Google )
Google simply makes life easier for Anyone @user_not_found
for free
As a tech person, I truly love and appreciate Google’s services to the entire world. They provide a service of excellent quality, at no extra cost. As a local Guide user, I have decided to contribute back to this community.
Being a local guide is one of my passions. I feel blessed to get the chance to help people to discover and explore new spots.
Google Maps and Local Guides go beyond outstanding wayfinding. Users can add stops on their way to their final destination, use voice control, easily find where they parked their car, add your morning commute, integrated music players to the navigation system, and download offline maps.
My favourite feature is the possibility to add a location in Google calendar that will notify me when it is time to go, showing me the best route to arrive right on time for the event. Google Maps makes our lives much easier in ways we don’t even realize.
Also, Mapping is the foundation for many of the services we enjoy today: from Uber to food deliveries to virtual realities games or even the safety of our children. Digital Maps create a network on which businesses can build and create seamless services and integrated solutions. In the future, my next haircut could be automatically booked through the combination of maps showing the location and barber information, and calendars indicating the frequency of your hair cuts. Just a thought.
As we move more and more towards smart home and cities, these kinds of outstanding services will become increasingly practical, all in an effort to eliminate the tiresome tasks from our daily lives. The integration of Google apps and data collection allows for an intuitive experience tailored to each user. You may not like the idea of it, but in practice, it means you find the perfect wine bar effortlessly once the search engine knows your preferences, and can book your hair appointment at your favorite hair salon.
The digital revolution of path finding did not come from doing what paper maps did, but from creating new functionalities. Google maps not only gives you the quickest route to work without traffic but also the quickest route to a wine bar in a neighborhood you did not know, from your exact location. This is one of the reasons why 67% of smartphone owners use Google Maps.
I believe Google is one of the best companies on this planet. It’s seriously awesome. I really hope to have the opportunity to go and meet people from all over the world at Connect Live 2020.
2.The natural parks
The vastness of this country means that although you may have to travel quite far, you can find every imaginable landscape on Earth here: from the world-famous Grand Canyon, to the snow-capped mountains of the Rockies, as well as thousands of miles of stunning coastline. These natural wonders are divided into 58 national parks set up to ensure they remain pristine for generations to come.
3.The nature
Farms, mountain ranges, hills, plains, deserts, lakes and streams – the US truly has it all. You can spend a lifetime exploring the natural wonders the US has to offer, and still feel like you saw only a fraction.
4.Starbucks
Seriously, where would we be without it? The first Starbucks opened its doors to the public in Seattle in 1971 and it has since become one of the world’s favorite coffee shops. It even invented its own language for cup sizes which we all dutifully learned, of course. A two-pump decaf venti latte, anyone?
5.;Broadway
The iconic theater-lined road in New York is still one of the best places in the world to catch a stage show.
6.Hollywood, Los Angeles
The entire film industry has Hollywood to thank for cultivating the talent, technology and special effects that have made the industry as successful as it is today. Head to Hollywood for some unrivaled star-spotting, a spot of shopping or a green juice or two.
7.The cultural diversity
Americans celebrate and embrace diversity because it it’s in their DNA: most Americans can trace their ancestry to Europe, Africa, Latin America or Asia, and most recognize that they would not be the nation they are today without that legacy.
8.Silicon Valley
In the southern part of San Francisco sits one of the world’s leading and largest hubs for technology and innovation. Home to Facebook, Apple, Google, Facebook, Tesla and Visa, this entrepreneurial hot-spot is THE place to be for business-savvy minds who want to collaborate and create.
9.Hollywood, Los Angeles
The entire film industry has Hollywood to thank for cultivating the talent, technology and special effects that have made the industry as successful as it is today. Head to Hollywood for some unrivalled star-spotting, a spot of shopping or a green juice or two.
10.Those coastlines
We can’t stop gushing about them. Topping up your tan before partying the night away on Miami Beach, watching for whales off the coast of California, tucking into fresh lobster rolls overlooking the sea in Maine, and surfing some of the world’s best waves in Hawaii – there’s no denying America has some of the greatest coastlines in the world.
11.The friendly people
It literally doesn’t matter if you’re in a line at the grocery store, jumping onto the subway as the doors close, or taking your first bite out of your breakfast pancakes in the diner around the corner, there’s a 130% chance someone nearby is ready to have a friendly chat.
12.The Great Lakes
As wonderful as they are vast, these five interconnected lakes at the border between the US and Canada make up the world’s largest body of fresh water and provide endless opportunities for boating, swimming, kayaking or fishing your days away.
