Hi. This is Tarikul Islam. I am from Bangladesh, a small country in South Asia. As a local guide, I love to share reviews and photos most about restaurants and historical places in Google Map. Whenever I visit a new place, I try to take some photos and share the photos along with a review of the places visited. Currently, it has become an addiction for me to contribute new reviews and photos in Google Map.
I work as a Magistrate in Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. As a part of my official duty, I have to visit a lot of places of Bangladesh specially Rajshahi (North-Western) Region where I am currently posted. As a result, I have a great opportunity to visit the historical places, famous restaurants and other popular places of the surrounding areas. As a Magistrate, I have access to most of the places where general people have no access. So, it is easier for me to review places and take photos of the places. Among the places, I love to review some places more than another. My major interests are historical places, restaurants and popular hang-out places.
The places on which I love to share reviews and photos most in Google Map is restaurants. Among the restaurants I have already reviewed and shared photos, most of them are upscale restaurants or medium quality restaurants. I do so because a tourist will always try to have a memorable meal during their visit to a place. We are five colleagues and all are bachelors. So, we have to eat in restaurants all the time. This gives me the opportunity to taste the food of different types of restaurants. I have already finished visiting all the restaurants of Rajshahi region. So, I have a good knowledge about the restaurants of the region, their food quality, price and overall service. Moreover, as a Magistrate, I have to conduct mobile court in restaurants in order to check their kitchen, hygiene issues, food quality and ingredients used. This gives me the unique opportunity to evaluate the restaurants. As I have to visit all types of restaurants, I love to share my experience about these restaurants through my review and photos in Google map. One reason for which I love to share photos and reviews of restaurants is to let people know about my findings during mobile court which is not accessible by general people. So, I want to help them make informed decision making about selecting restaurants to dine out. Through my reviews and photos, people can get valuable insights about the food quality, hygiene, price and environment of the restaurants. I love helping others.
One reason for which I love to review historical place and share photos is to let people know about the glorious history of our motherland, Bengal. There are so many historical places in Rajshahi region where I currently work. Many of the historical places such as Mohasthangarh, Paharpur Buddist Bihar, and Sona Mosjid (All three are UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site) are from ancient period, early middle period and late middle period. The people from young generation of Bangladesh has no or little knowledge about these historical places. So, I want to ensure that the new generation must have knowledge about the historical background and their heritage. By sharing review, I contribute some knowledge about the present conditions of the historical sites and by sharing photos, I can help them to take a glimpse of the places. Thus, I want to let our young generation about our heritage and historical places and make them interested in visiting those historical places.
I always keep in mind that sharing is caring. By sharing the reviews and photos, I can contribute something for the society. By giving answer to questions, I love to share information about the wheelchair accessibility of a restaurant or historical place because one of my colleagues is also disabled person. A large number of disable people live in Bangladesh and they have a right to visit the great place. So, they can decide from my sharing. I also answer questions related to the availability of restroom. For female tourists, it is very helpful to know about the availability of restrooms. Two of our colleagues are female. So, I think it is a very useful information for tourists. I will not lenthen my post further. Good bye.
