I love to share my photos on Google maps most.
My hobby is walking around places in my city on weekends to see local events or eat some delicious foods. I usually take pictures of them to remember.
About 2 years ago, I visited Tokyo with my friends and took some photos of the hotel I’ve checked in. And I got notification from google maps. “Upload your pictures!”
<My first photo sharing. Dormy inn Akihabara from Tokyo, Japan>
After that, I uploaded my photos for back up. Buildings, foods, views about the places I usually go.
One day, Ive got mail from google maps. One of my photo
s view count was 10,000 over. That photo was…this. I was surprised.
A photo of chairs is my ‘mostly viewed’ contents that I shared to Google maps. Anyway this record made me feel great, but I got a question.
<IKEA, from Goyang city, Korea>
Why? Why people look such general photo like this one? It`s not a special Tourist destination, just IKEA mall in Korea.
Well, my answer was…There are many people who wants to know about Plain Places in my town, city more than I’ve thought before.
So I decided to share more pictures for everybody. To show & introduce places in my city. What kind of events are happening, where to go for good meals…etc. and this became my weekend hobby.
<Discover & find new places in my city!>
After I share photos on Google maps, notification tells me the feedbacks of my photo and reminds me where was I ? What photos I’ve took? like albums or diary. This makes me feel good and pushes me to do more activities.
