Why I love to share on Google Maps

I love sharing insights to places I visit which help others plan meaningful visits. My love for sharing on Google Maps is geared at families with younger children. I value the opportunity to give families with younger kids relevant and helpful insights to places I have visited. I value the insights that others give to places I would love to visit. As a Mom, I value contributions from others that help me plan visits that are fun filled for my young children. It is because of this that I am passionate about helping other families with insights and tips on the availability of kid friendly parks, restrooms availability or stores that sell refreshments in places I visit even to information on opening and closing times.

I recall my visit to a beach resort on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria with my kids and other family members. I didn’t realise that a lovely children’s park had now been included in facilities the Resort offered. This is novel in my country. Such resorts usually only provide entertainment for older kids and adults. I thought to share this as other families looking for a nice day out at the beach for their young children would value such help. It was also helpful to indicate insights on their available changing rooms and toilet facilities. A Google Maps prompt for human help is an exciting prompt for me.

I love a good bargain too. I love to shop around for the best price guaranteed to give value. I have discovered that on Google Maps I have the chance to help others with key tips to achieve this too for themselves. I am able to share insights on my visits to Departmental Stores such as Opening and closing times, what items can be bought, etc. I’ll provide information on pricing too just because I love to help.

It is amazing that from just a desire to share helpful tips I am able to help another somewhere in the World. When I see the viewership grow from my contributions, I want to do more because I realise with purpose that I am playing a role in a global community helping people plan visits that create amazing memories. Thank you Google for this rare opportunity that transcends state boundaries.
