My first post in this community.
Google Maps is essential to my daily life, and I believe this is also the case of most people: for daily commute, for looking for commercials, and good spots for taking photos, etc.
But the reason I love to share, is because I believe sharing necessary information can help people save time, effort and sometimes it’s money.
I’m a Chinese who lives in Paris, where thousands of tourists visit. When I go for a walk, I often help them to find subway station entrance, the nearest Italian restaurant, and city tour bus station. I understand how frustrating it could be if I walked back and forth in a street just to find the entrance of a store, I also understand how annoying it could be if I got a little time left to catch the train but got lost in a big interchange station: because those things happened on me in my early days in Paris.
As much as I want to help, there’s a lot of limits. That’s why I believe if I could contribute more on Google Maps could help more people. Even sometimes just a simple comment like “this station does have a departure board but it does not show the interchange trains schedule” would help people to get there 2 minutes earlier to catch the train for avoiding 15 minutes waiting time of the next one.

Also, as an amateur photographer, I like to walk around Paris to discover more angles to take photos. Contributing to Google Maps helps me learn more about this city that I live in, take more photos.

If you’re in Paris, don’t forget to ask me where are the nice restaurants are, and where are the unique spots (Other than the popular attractions like Louvre and right under Eiffel Tower, of course) to take photos of beautiful Paris! And I’m definitely looking forward to meet some excellent contributors on Live Connect 2019 (if I could have that chance!)
